DKR North End Zone's Terrace Club on Six Adds Mobile Concession Ordering
Local technology company expands footprint at University of Texas venues.AUSTIN, TX - Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium (DKR), home of the Texas Longhorns football team, has partnered with Austin-based Bypass Lane to offer fans a mobile concessions ordering solution. Bypass Lane allows fans to order and pay for concessions on their smartphones so they can skip the line, not the game. The innovative technology will be offered to roughly 2,400 season ticket holders in the north end zone chair back seating area known as the Terrace Club on Six, located on the 6th floor of the Red McCombs Red Zone.
Terrace Club on Six ticket holders can view the full food and drink menus of select concession stands in the vicinity of their seats, and place and pay for their order without ever leaving their seat or waiting in a concession line. A text message is sent to the fan when their order is ready for pickup from the nearest Bypass Lane, helping them get back to their seat in short order. Four terminals and pick up lanes will be active in the Terrace Club on Six for the Longhorns home opener against Rice on September 3rd.
The DKR installation follows an installation at the Frank Erwin Center earlier this year. A sponsorship by Jet Blue Airways provides the service at no cost to Erwin Center patrons, and DKR will offer Bypass Lane free of charge as a premium service to loyal donors and fans in the Terrace Club on Six.
"The Longhorn Foundation offers the Terrace Club on Six to donors as a premium seating and hospitality area. The addition of Bypass Lane is the latest in the attempt to provide a game day experience that is unrivaled in our industry. We are thrilled to partner with a company that values the customers experience as a top priority. We look forward to the value Bypass Lane technology and services will add to this club," said Kurt Westveld Assistant Athletic Director for Development.
Bypass Lane, an Austin-based company, is the industry leader in the mobile technology space. Bypass Lane is now available in MLB, MiLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA, and NFL venues across the country. In addition to the University of Texas, Bypass Lane can also be found at Stanford University, and The University of Georgia.
"The University of Texas has always valued the fan experience at Longhorn sporting events, and with new technology comes new opportunities to improve that experience," said Bypass Lane President Brandon Lloyd said. "Long concession lines shouldn't be a burden of any fan, especially those who have invested in premium seating. We look forward to expanding this service to more UT fans in the future so they can skip the line, not the game."
Terrace Club on Six seat holders are encouraged to visit www.BypassLane.com to download the app for free in advance of the game.
